Ranjan Chak joined Oak as a Venture Partner in 2003, after a diverse 20-year career in information technology including over 15 years in senior management roles in international operations. A cum laude graduate in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College, Ranjan has managed an AI research project at Carnegie Mellon University, established new ventures in Europe and Japan for Carnegie Group Inc., and helped start up Hewlett Packard (India). In 1994, as Vice President (Indian Operations) for Oracle Corporation, he created one of the most successful offshore development centers in India; subsequently, he took over the leadership of Oracle's Asia-Pacific Product Services organization including global support centers in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Melbourne. Ranjan focuses on helping Oak's portfolio companies execute successful strategies for tapping the offshore talent in India.
