H. Eugene Lockhart joined Oak in 2003 as a Venture Partner focusing on Financial Services Technology opportunities. Previously, Gene held several senior management positions in leading financial services and technology organizations. Gene was President and CEO of MasterCard International, President of the Global Retail Bank and Senior Vice Chairman of BankAmerica Corporation, President of Consumer Services at AT&T, and President and Chief Executive Officer of New Power Holdings. Gene currently serves on the boards of Acculynk, Argus, Bonds.com and Vesta. In addition to his Oak responsibilities, Gene sits on the following public and private boards: RadioShack Corporation, Huron Consulting, Asset Acceptance Capital Corporation, INTTRA, and Metro Bank. Gene graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree of Mechanical Engineering and received an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
